In-Class Support

In an effort to facilitate the growth of professional art and design educators, faculty developers visit classes and provide instructors with constructive, supportive feedback based on the visit.

Instructors may designate a particular element of teaching on which they would like to receive feedback by completing a questionnaire. In-class faculty support is provided to new instructors, to veteran instructors who can mentor new faculty in their curriculum area, or at any instructor's request.

Classroom visits generally last about an hour and are followed by a personalized consultation. The consultations are designed to increase awareness of a variety topics, such as lesson planning, activity development, critiquing methods, and tools for assessment and evaluation.
