Getting Help for Students

Academic Support Referral

If your students are not responding to your requests for them to improve their work, refer them to Academic Support. Academic coaches provide one-on-one support to students to help them thrive and succeed at the Academy. They can help students in the following areas:

• Communicating with Instructors
• Accessing Academy Resources
• Study Skills
• Online Learning Strategies
• SF Bay Area Resources

Please let us know as soon as possible about individual students in need of academic or ESL support by using the Support Referral Form.

What happens when you refer a student to us?

• Referral Form received by Academy Resource Center
• Student is contacted by via phone, email or both about your concerns
• Student is assisted in developing an action plan and is encouraged to take advantage of support services
• We contact you to tell you what happened within 10 business days
