Overview of Trainings and Workshops
AAU Trainings and Workshops provide a chance to get together with colleagues from throughout the Academy to share teaching ideas, inspiration and best practices. These professional development opportunities are available to all AAU faculty and are free of charge. A full-day conference is held prior to the start of fall semester and a half-day of Teaching Essentials workshops is held before the spring semesters; midterm workshops are held throughout the semester as requested by faculty and directors; online tutorials are available on demand. Certificates of completion for all AAU Faculty Development seminars are sent to each participant and cc'd to the curriculum office for inclusion in individual faculty files.

Department-Specific Midterm Workshops
Let us bring the workshops to you! You tell us what topic you would like, where and when you are available and Faculty Development will bring a tailored workshop to you. Department directors, adminstrators or individual groups of faculty can select a topic from our workshop menu or request a new topic. (A minimum number of 4 partcipants are needed for a workshop. If you have 3 or fewer instructors, please schedule a small group/individual consultation.) For preparation and scheduling purposes, please request your workshop at least two weeks in advance.
