If any of your students are struggling to keep up with your class or meet basic expectations, make a referral to the Academy Resource Center (ARC) right away. Request assistance within the first few weeks of the semester to increase your students’ chances of succeeding. An Academic Coach will reach out and help your student connect with academic support services.

To encourage your student to take full advantage of ARC:

• Communicate your concerns to the student in a supportive
  manner before making the referral.
   
• Explain that ARC is a helpful resource, not a punishment.
   
• Follow up with your student and/or with ARC to find out about
  the plan of action.
